THE FIVE KINGDOMS OF LIVING THINGS
During these weeks, we have been learning about cells and living things. We have learned that VAMPIRES do not only live in Transilvania. There are tiny microscopic living things that suck the live out of innocent bacteria and algae, as in the vampire amoeba.
Amoebas are very interesting unicelullar microorganisms not only because they feed on bacteria, algae or paramecia, but also because of the way they move, as you can see next.
Now take a look at the difference in size and shape of microorganisms and some human cells.

I haven't forgotten fungi. Here you have the videos we have seen in the classroom on "Pedo de lobo" and the fungi growing at a fast speed.
